It’s hard to believe that though I’ve lived in Northern Virginia for several years, until today I had never visited Morven Park in Leesburg, VA. Absolutely beautiful grounds and a rich history. The house and museum were closed, but I enjoyed capturing some images of the house and surrounding grounds.
A friend recently contacted me about taking photos of his daughter who is wanting to build her modeling portfolio. I readily agreed. She was looking for fitness themed images, so we met at a local track. Here are a few of my favorites.
I had the opportunity to visit the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco when I was on the west coast for business earlier this week. I had hoped for a nice low fog layer so I could capture an image of the top of the bridge in a sea of fog. It didn’t happen, oh well. I did manage to capture a few keepers on my two visits to the bridge (one in the evening and one in the morning). I’ll have to try again the next time I’m in the area.

While I was awaiting sunset on my first visit, I drove around to other overlooks of the bay. I found this view with a soft purple blooming flower to contrast with the steel of the bridge.
On Saturday, my daughter and I went to Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens in northeast DC to photograph the Lotus Blossoms. We ran into Josh Taylor who was taking pictures of the blossoms as well. Weather wise, we couldn’t ask for better. While there were many blossoms to photograph, I could tell that many more were on their way. I suspect this coming weekend (11-13 July) will have many more subjects to offer.
